Lebanese Winger Ataya Joins Iran’s Zob Ahan


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian football club Zob Ahan completed the signing of Lebanese right winger Rabih Ataya in the January transfer window.

The 27-year-old player has joined the Iranian team from Al-Ansar on an 18-month contract for an undisclosed fee.

Rabih Ataya is reunited with his countryman Ali Hamam in Zob Ahan.

Zob Ahan will represent Iran in the 2017 AFC Champions League where the team has been drawn in Group C along with Al-Ahli of Saudi Arabia and Al-Ain of the UAE.

Zob Ahan also is favorite to win Iran Professional League (IPL) and Hazfi Cup.
