Iran Warns Citizens of US Trip

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Foreign Ministry strongly advised the Iranian US-bound passengers to make sure they will not face disturbance on their way to America, after an executive order by US president banned all Iranian citizens from entering the US for 90 days.

Following a flurry of concerns from Iranian travelers to the US about the new order and a lot of contacts with Iran’s Foreign Ministry, the ministry issued a statement on Sunday, saying the Iranian citizens intending to go to the US are strongly advised to make sure “in the appropriate and reliable manner” before the trip that they will not face disturbance on their way or at the entry point into the US.

The new order Trump signed on Friday bars all persons from seven countries from entering the US for 90 days and suspends the US Refugee Admissions Program for 120 days. The countries impacted are Iran, Iraq, Syria, Sudan, Libya, Yemen and Somalia.

A lot of Iranian visa-holders have been deported from the US airports since Friday.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned the US insulting move against Iranians and Muslims, saying Tehran will take reciprocal measures in order to safeguard the rights of its citizens until the time of the removal of the insulting restrictions.
