Two IRGC Members Killed on Duty in SE Iran

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Two military forces serving in the Quds base of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Ground Force in southeast of Iran were martyred on duty on Wednesday.

Second Lieutenant Ruhollah Kamaldar and Vahid Aslani were martyred during an operation in Iran’s southeastern areas on Wednesday.

The two will be laid to rest in their home province of Kerman southern Iran, on Thursday.

It came two days after the IRGC Ground Force lost one of its local commanders in the southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan.

Ruhollah Aali, commander of an IRGC battalion at Kurin, a district of the provincial capital of Zahedan, was shot by two Takfiri terrorists on Monday night on a road between Zahedan and Kurin.

Security forces launched a manhunt immediately after the attack, shot down both Takfiri assassins, and captured two others.

Since a couple of years ago, the IRGC has been tasked with ensuring security of southeastern border areas in cooperation with local residents.

Located in southeast of Iran, Sistan and Balouchestan borders Pakistan and Afghanistan, and has a long coastline by the Sea of Oman.
