No Air Travel Disruption Despite Tehran Terrorist Attacks: Airport Official
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – All flights to and from the Imam Khomeini International Airport (IKIA) south of Tehran will operate as normal, unaffected by the terrorist attacks in the capital on Wednesday morning, an official announced.
The situation and flight plans in Imam Khomeini International Airport are completely normal, Kurosh Fattahi, the top IKIA official told Tasnim.
All flights are operating without any delay, he added.
On Wednesday morning, terrorists launched simultaneous attacks on Iran's parliament building in downtown Tehran and on the mausoleum of late founder of the Islamic Republic Imam Khomeini, south of the city.
At the mausoleum of Imam Khomeini, one of the assailants was shot dead and another one blew himself up.
Reports also suggest that in the parliament, where a blast occurred on the fifth floor, terrorists have killed at least seven people so far. A number of others are being held hostage.
