Several Saudi Forces Killed in Yemeni Army’s Attacks on Najran

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The forces of the Yemeni army and Popular Committees, in retaliatory attacks against the Saudi-led coalition, killed several Saudi servicemen in the kingdom’s southwestern province of Najran.

The Yemeni forces targeted and hit Al Dhaba military base in Najran, killing and injuring a number of the Saudi servicemen, according to the Arabic-language Al Mayadeen television network.

They also pounded other Saudi positions in Najran with Katyusha rockets and mortar shells.

In another operation, the Yemeni army and Popular Committees managed to recapture four military bases from mercenaries of the fugitive former President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh, in Yemen’s southwestern province of Taiz.

The attacks against Saudi forces came in retaliation for the continued massacre of civilians and destruction of Yemen’s infrastructure by the Saudi-led coalition.

Yemen’s defenseless people have been under massive attacks by the coalition for more than two years but Riyadh has reached none of its objectives in Yemen so far.

Since March 2015, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies have been carrying out deadly airstrikes against the Houthi Ansarullah movement in an attempt to restore power to Hadi.

Over 12,000 Yemenis, including thousands of women and children, have lost their lives in the deadly military campaign.
