Iran Describes New US Sanctions as “Cheap”
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Iranian Foreign Ministry on Tuesday condemned the new measures taken by the US administration against Iran, and pledged to show proper response to Washington’s hostile move.
The administration of US President Donald Trump said it was imposing new economic sanctions against Iran over the Islamic Republic’s missile program.
The US state department and also department of treasury announced on Tuesday that they were targeting 18 Iranian individuals, groups and networks.
In reply, Iran’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement that the move to impose new economic sanctions against Tehran was “cheap and useless.”
The ministry said that Tehran will respond to the US move, and added that Iran will in turn impose new sanctions against a number of other American individuals and entities that have taken hostile steps against the Iranian nation and other Muslim nations in the region.
