Iran Greco-Roman Team Crowned Junior Wrestling World Champion


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran Greco-Roman team claimed the title of the Junior Wrestling World Champion.

On Sunday, the Iranian team, headed by Hamid Bavafa, won the title for the first time with 58 points in Tampere, Finland.

The Persian wrestlers won three gold medals, one silver and one bronze.

Russia became runner-up with 53 points. The Russian team bagged one gold medal, one silver and three bronzes.

Turkey stood on third place with 38 points, winning one gold and one bronze medal.
