Iran Deplores Israel ‘Brutal’ Airstrike on Gaza
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Iranian Foreign Ministry on Monday strongly condemned the recent Israeli airstrike on the Gaza Strip, describing the attack as “brutal”.
“The blood-thirsty Zionist regime is trying to bend the will of the oppressed people of the occupied territories to guarantee its security by killing Palestinian youths,” the ministry spokesman, Bahram Qassemi, said in a Monday statement.
“This is while seven decades of crimes, bloodshed and child-killing could not weaken the determination of this patient and courageous people at all,” Qassemi added, according to official website of the Foreign Ministry.
At least eight Palestinian men have lost their lives and more than 10 others sustained injuries when Israeli fighter jets bombarded and destroyed a lifeline tunnel in the southern part of the besieged Gaza Strip.
