Iran’s Javad Mahjoub Wins Silver at Antalya Grand Prix


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian judoka Javad Mahjoub won a silver medal on the final day of competition at the Antalya Grand Prix in Turkey.

The Iranian lost to Russian Inal Tasoev in the final match of the +100kg on Sunday.

Almost two minutes into a Golden score, Tasoev scored Ippon against Mahjoub, putting the Russian on the top step of the podium.

Bronze medal went to Cuban Andy Granda and Kim Sungmin from South Korea.

Antalya Grand Prix 2018 brought 319 judoka practitioners from 50 countries together in Antalya from April 6 to 8.
