Iran’s Alipour Takes Gold at 2018 IFSC Climbing World Cup


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Reza Alipour from Iran claimed a gold medal at the 2018 IFSC Climbing World Cup in Moscow, Russia on Sunday.

Alipour, nicknamed the 'Persian Cheetah', finished in first place with a time of 5.82 seconds in Men Speed.

Russian climber Vladislav Deulin came second with 6.87 seconds and Indonesian Veddriq Leonardo finished third.

The IFSC Climbing World Cup is a series of climbing competitions held annually and organized by the International Federation of Sport Climbing (IFSC). The athletes compete in three disciplines: lead, bouldering and speed. The number of competitions and venues vary from year to year.
