Honduran Striker Eddie Hernandez Joins Iran’s Zob Ahan


TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Honduran international striker Eddie Gabriel Hernandez Padilla has joined Iranian football club Zob Ahan.

The 27-year-old player joined the Iranian club on a one-year contract for an undisclosed fee.

Hernandez played for Kazakhstan’s Irtysh Pavlodar last season.

After Jerry Bengtson who played in Persepolis and Zob Ahan, Hernandez is the second Honduran player to join an Iranian team.

Hernandez replaced Stanley Kiros in Zob Ahan. Kiros has joined Sepahan.

Zob Ahan came second in Iran Professional League (IPL) last season under guidance of Amir Ghalenoei. The Isfahan-based football team will be headed by ex-Iran assistant Omid Namazi in the upcoming season.
