IRGC Smashes Terrorist Team West of Iran
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) forces attacked a terrorist team in Iran’s western province of Kermanshah, killing three intruders and seizing weapons and ammunition.
According to the public relations department of the IRGC Ground Force’s Najaf Base, an anti-revolutionary terrorist team infiltrated into Nowdeshah border region in the province of Kermanshah on Saturday evening to carry out acts of sabotage and upset security in the country.
The IRGC Ground Force troops detected and chased the terrorists, killed three of them in a gunfight and wounded another one, the statement added.
One of the local members of Basij (voluntary) forces was also martyred in the operation, it noted.
The IRGC forces confiscated weapons, ammunition and other equipment from the terrorists, the statement said.
The IRGC is tasked with protecting the country’s northwestern and southeastern borders.
