Militants Continue to Surrender Their Weapons to Syrian Army in Quneitra (+Photos)
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Militants in the town of Jubata al-Khashab in Quneitra province continued to surrender their weapons and military vehicles to army forces after an agreement was reached with Syrian government.
According to Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), an army unit received a tank, two armored vehicles, three technical vehicles with 14.5 mm machine guns, a 122mm field gun, dozens of tank shells, a rocket launcher, various mortars shels, a homemade rocket and heavy machine guns and anti-materiel rifle cartridges, from the surrendering militants.
An agreement was reached this month in Quneitra with militants who wished to remain in the areas in condition of laying down weapons and the return of the Syrian Army to the points it was in the region before 2011.
