Former Militants Fighting Alongside Syrian Government Troops against ISIL (+Video)


TEHRAN (Tasnim) - The former FSA militants who surrendered to Syrian government forces were filmed by Russian media fighting along army's side against the ISIL terrorists in the Yarmouk Basin region in Daraa province.

A video released by the Russian media Rusvesna showes a group of former militants from the Free Syrian Army (FSA) fighting alongside the government troops in Daraa province against Daesh (ISIS or ISIL) terrorists, following a peace agreement with Syrian Arab Army.

The fighters of FSA’s Shabab Al-Sunnah Brigade are currently taking part in the army’s ongoing offensive against the ISIL-affiliated Jeish Khaled bin Walid terrorists in the Yarmouk Basin region.

Oleg Blokhin, a Russian field reporter in the Daraa province recently filmed the group’s battle with ISIL in the region.

Over five hundred militants, according to a Syrian military reports, are now fighting alongside the government forces after a reconciliation agreement which gave the militants an option to serve alongside the Syrian army to fight against ISIL in Daraa and Quneitra provinces.
