Bulgarian Fans Had Effect on Iran’s Performance: Igor Kolakovic

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Igor Kolakovic, head coach of Iran volleyball team, said the Bulgarian fans reflected on his team’s performance and probably that was the reason for losing the third set.

Iran defeated host Bulgaria 3-1 (25-22, 25-20, 22-25, 25-19) Thursday night in Pool D of the FIVB Men’s World Championship in front of about 5000 spectators.

“We enjoyed the game and Bulgaria played well. I thank my players for the patience they showed and of course for the win against a very well prepared and experienced team like Bulgaria,” Kolakovic said in the post-match news conference.

“We tried to control the game in all sets, but the crowd reflected on us and probably that was the reason for losing the third set,” Kolakovic added.
