Palestinian Teen Dies from Wounds in Gaza: Ministry

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – A Palestinian teenager has died after being shot by Israeli forces last month during protests along the Gaza border, the health ministry in the enclave said.

Saheeb Abu Kashef, 16, died late Saturday after being shot on Aug. 3 east of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip, according to the ministry, AFP reported on Sunday.

Nearly 175 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces since anti-occupation protest rallies began in the Gaza Strip on March 30. A total of 19,139 Palestinians have also sustained injuries.

The Gaza clashes reached their peak on May 14, on the eve of the 70th anniversary of Nakba Day, or the Day of Catastrophe, which coincided this year with the US embassy relocation from Tel Aviv to occupied East Jerusalem al-Quds.
