Syria Army Repulses Major Militant Attack in Hama
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Syrian forces foiled a major operation by Takfiri militants in the Arab country's western-central province of Hama, inflicting major losses on them.
The militants suffered major losses after they attempted to sneak into the areas of Ma’rkabeh and Lahaya in the northern countryside of Hama province, SANA news agency reported on Friday.
The infiltration attempt was thwarted near the two areas, the report added.
After pushing them back and killing large groups of them, the remaining terrorists fled the battlefield.
Syria, which has been gripped by foreign-backed militancy since March 2011, has said that the Israeli regime and its Western and regional allies have been aiding Takfiri terrorist groups.
