Asian Para Games: Izadyar Wins Iran’s First Gold


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Shahin Izadyar claimed Iran’s first gold medal in the 3rd edition of the Asian Para Games on Sunday.

The swimmer finished in the first place in the Men's 100M Butterfly S10 with a time of 01:07.12.

Malaysian Dawan Fraidden came second with 01:07.66 and the bronze medal went to Dmitriy Li from Kazakhstan with 01:07.77.

About 3,000 athletes with disabilities from a record 43 countries and territories are taking part in the games that opened in the Indonesian capital on Saturday.

The Asian Para Games will run through October 13th.
