Iran Eyes Close Cooperation with Hungary


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian President Hassan Rouhani congratulated Hungary on the anniversary of its national day, hoping for the expansion of Tehran-Budapest cooperation.

In a letter to President of Hungary Janos Ader on Tuesday, Rouhani congratulated the Hungarian people and government on the anniversary of the Central European country’s revolution in 1956.

He also expressed hope that Iran and Hungary would deepen and expand cooperation given the existing capacities.

October 23 is a day that commemorates the 1956 Hungarian revolution and is marked by a range of national events and a public holiday in Hungary.
