Kashima Can Defeat Persepolis in AFC Champions League Final: Serginho
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Kashima Antlers Brazilian star Serginho has eyes on the prize by beating Persepolis of Iran in the final match of the AFC Champions League.
Kashima Antlers booked a place in the final after dramatic 6-5 aggregate victory over Suwon Samsung Bluewings following a 3-3 draw in Korea Republic.
“We know that if we lose to Persepolis in the final then this has no meaning,” Serginho told the-afc.com.
“I firmly believe that if we come together and give everything we have again then we can go all the way and become champion,” the Brazilian added.
Kashima will now welcome Persepolis to Kashima Soccer Stadium in the first leg of the final on November 3, before travelling to Tehran for the second leg a week later as both sides look to lift the coveted AFC Champions League trophy for the first time in their history.
