Christians in Damascus Light Largest Christmas Tree to Celebrate New Year (+Video)


TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Syrian Christians in Damascus lit up on Saturday the largest Christmas tree during the New Year festivities in the capital.

Syrian Arab News Agency showed in a video the largest Christmas tree that was lit up in Damascus on Saturday as a part of the Christmas and New Year festivities that are already in full swing in the Syrian capital.

People, many wearing Christmas costumes, took part in a parade from Bab Touma square to Abbasiyeen square where the tree of 30 meters tall was lit up.
