Two Iraqi Kurds Killed After Protesters Storm Turkish Base in Duhok (+Video)

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Two Iraqi Kurds were killed and at least 15 were injured on Saturday after protesters stormed a Turkish military facility in Shiladze in the Duhok province of Iraq’s Kurdistan.

They set fire to the base and to some military vehicle, demanding that the base be closed.

Reports by Rudaw news suggest that a 13-year-old boy and a 60-year-old man were killed after demonstrators moved towards the Turkish base in Shiladze while protesting and condemning the airstrikes by Turkish forces.

Turkey regularly carries out airstrikes against Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) positions in northern Iraq, with many civilians allegedly dying in the bombings.
