Israeli Warplanes Launch Air Strike on Gaza

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Israeli warplanes carried out intensive air strikes on southern Gaza Strip early on Thursday.

The Israeli jets fired six missiles in the southern Gaza Strip city of Khan Younis, said Al-Quds Radio, which quoted Israeli officials and eyewitnesses, claiming the attacks had been carried out at Hamas movement and Islamic Jihad training camps and positions.

Severe destruction was caused to the facilities, and damage was spread to nearby houses, said the radio.

Israel has so far bombed four locations in Khan Yunis, it added.

It came after Israeli forces killed 15 year old Said Abu Zaid and injured 4 others who were taking part in demonstrations in Gaza’s east on Wednesday.

Following the Israeli attack on the protestors, Hamas made a public statement, stating that Israeli aggression wouldn’t be tolerated, and then a projectile was fired from the Gaza Strip into occupied territories on Wednesday evening.
