Trump’s Baby Balloon Flies at US-Mexico Border during Protest (+Video)

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – A giant inflatable balloon depicting US President Donald Trump as a diaper-clad baby flew at the US-Mexico border wall on Friday in protest to Trump’s scheduled visit to California.

A group of protestors set up the “Baby Trump” balloon in advance of his tour of the southern border near Calexico, Calif., according to local outlet ABC 10 KGTV.

The inflatable balloon has made several appearances across the US in recent months, greeting Trump at various locations he travels to for campaign rallies and events. The 20-foot-tall inflatable features a balloon looking like Trump wearing a diaper and holding a cell phone.

A local news outlet reported that Trump supporters were gathered just a few miles from the protesters to welcome the president.

A 2.5-mile long portion of replacement wall was recently installed in the area Trump is expected to tour.

The portion of wall reportedly contains a plaque declaring it the first section of Trump’s border wall, according to KGTV.

Trump is also expected to meet with local and federal immigration enforcement officials.

Trump on Thursday issued Mexico a “one-year warning” before implementing auto tariffs and potentially shutting down the border, a reversal from his previous threat to immediately shut it down.
