Intense Infighting in Northwest Syria as Army Continues to Advance

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Syrian army Tuesday continued to make an advance into the militants' last major stronghold in the country, a report said.

Al-Watan daily said the army had captured the villages of al-Janabara and Tel Othman, where terrorists said on Monday they had repulsed army assaults, according to Reuters.

The so-called Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said army troops had seized Tel Othman.

Syrian forces have recaptured most of the country from terrorists since the Arab country’s allies deployed their air power in support of the army in 2015.
