Iran Loses to Montenegro at FINA World Junior Water Polo C’ships
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran was defeated against Montenegro 17-6 at Group C of the 20th FINA World Men's Junior Water Polo Championships on Monday.
Iran beat Kuwait at the Al-Nasar Sport Club in Kuwait City in the opening match and suffered two losses against USA and Italy.
Iran will play Egypt in the tournament’s classification on Tuesday.
The groups are composed as follows:
GROUP A: Serbia, Japan, South Africa, Croatia, China
GROUP B: Russia, Canada, Spain, Hungary, Egypt
GROUP C: Montenegro, Kuwait, USA, Italy, Iran
GROUP D: Brazil, Uzbekistan, Greece, Australia, New Zealand
In the last edition of the championships, held in 2017 in Belgrade (SRB), the medalists were Greece (gold), Croatia (silver) and Serbia (bronze).
