Iranian Boxers Win Three Silvers at Ahmet Comert Tournament


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian boxers claimed three silver medals at the International Elite Ahmet Comert Boxing Tournament on Saturday.

Omid Ahmadisafa won a silver medal at the 52kg after the decisions went against him in the match against a Mongolian boxer.

Ahmadisafa was named the best boxer of the tournament.

Toofan Sharifi lost to his Algerian opponent at the 91kg final and won a silver medal.

Moslem Maghsoodi also claimed a silver medal at the 69kg after losing to a Moroccan boxer.

Danial Shahbakhsh at the 57kg, Hossein Daneshvar at the -81kg, Ehsan Rouzbahani at the 91kg and Ali Jamali at the +91kg had already won four bronze medals in the event.

The 32nd International Ahmet Comert Boxing Tournament was held in Istanbul, Turkey.

Ahmet Comert was a Turkish amateur boxer, coach, referee, judge and sports official. He also served in the executive committee of the International Boxing Association (AIBA).
