Sepahan Beats Foolad: IPL
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Sepahan football team defeated Foolad 2-1 in the Iran Professional League (IPL) on Friday.
Kiros Stanly and Mohammad Mohebbi scored for Sepahan in Isfahan’s Naghsh-e Jahan Stadium and Hassan Beyt Saeed was on target for visiting Foolad.
In the other matches, Pars Jonoubi was held to a 1-1 draw by struggling Gol Gohar, Paykan lost to Shahin Bushehr 3-1, Tractor defeated Zob Ahan 2-1 and Nassaji Mazandaran lost to Saipa 3-1.
Persepolis will meet Sanat Naft on Saturday, Esteghlal host Naft Masjed Soleyman and Shahr Khodro meet Machine Sazi.
Persepolis sits top of the table with 37 points, followed by Sepahan (35 points) and Tractor (33 points).
