Movement Praises Iran for Helping Iraqi Students Stuck in China
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The spokesperson for Iraq's Nujaba Movement lauded Iran for providing humanitarian assistance for the Iraqi students who had been stuck in China after the outbreak of the novel coronavirus.
In a post on his Twitter account, spokesman for Nujaba Movement Nasr al-Shammari hailed the Islamic Republic of Iran for transferring the Iraqi students from China and providing them with medical care.
He said Iran’s help for the Iraqi students reveals that the Islamic Republic has great respect for the humanitarian values and avoids sectarianism.
Shammari also lashed out at the Saudi regime for leaving the Yemeni nationals alone in China, saying the Yemeni citizens have been barred from boarding the Saudi flights from China although the flights have had empty seats.
On Wednesday morning, 56 Iranian nationals living in China’s Wuhan, the epicenter of outbreak of the novel coronavirus, arrived in Iran and were kept in quarantine. According to reports, tens of Iraqi, Syrian and Lebanese nationals were also on the flight.
