Over 50,000 Israelis under Quarantine; 250 Tested Positive for COVID-19
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Some 250 Israelis have so far tested positive for the novel coronavirus, dubbed COVID-19, across the occupied Palestinian territories, reports said.
According to the reports coming out of Israel, the Tel Aviv regime has shuttered cultural and recreational establishments as well as schools and universities and banned indoor gatherings of over 10 people
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who was tested for the virus, was set to appear before court hearing over corruption on Tuesday. But the courts announced on Sunday that the trial will be pushed back by two months.
All foreigners are not to be allowed into the occupied Palestinian territories unless they can prove they are able to self-quarantine for 14 days upon their arrival.
The Israeli Health Ministry said over 50,000 Israelis are currently under quarantine, with 1,704 only starting their isolation fortnight on Monday. More than 22,000 have already completed their quarantine, the ministry added.
First detected in Wuhan city in central China in December, the virus has spread to more than 120 countries, infecting more than 153,000 globally.
