TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian Deputy Health Minister Iraj Harirchi said the rate of new infections and deaths from the novel coronavirus has been declining in most of the country’s provinces.
“Fortunately, we are witnessing a decline in the number of cases of coronavirus deaths after one month,” Harirchi told Tasnim on Thursday.
He added that the number of fatalities from the virus across the country has dropped below 100 for the first time in one month, which is a great achievement for the country’s health-care system.
The deputy health minister further underlined the importance of following health protocols and social distancing by all, and said, “We ask people to continue their cooperation with us in the coming weeks so that we can leave this crisis behind.”
