AFC Praises Persepolis’s Spectators
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Asian Football Confederation lauded Iranian team Persepolis’s fans attending the AFC Champions League matches.
“Persepolis leads in terms of spectator turnout with the iconic Azadi Stadium having seen 100,000 fans in five different ACL matches, the most recent being the 2018 final against Kashima Antlers,” the-afc.com published on its Instagram account.
Persepolis became runner-up at the 2018 AFC Champions league, losing to Japanese Kashima 2-0 on aggregate.
