Qatar Sends 4th Consignment of Medical Aid to Iran


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Qatar has sent its fourth cargo of medical aid to Iran to help the country in its fight against the coronavirus pandemic, media reports said.

The consignment consists of 16 tons of medical equipment and supplies, QNA reported.

The aid dispatch comes upon directives from Qatar’s Emir Tamim Bin Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani, according to the Qatari media.

Qatar has also sent virus aid to Algeria, Palestine, Italy, Lebanon, Gaza, Tunisia, Nepal, and Rwanda.

The coronavirus pandemic has killed over 217,000 people worldwide and infected more than 3.1 million, while more than 928,000 have recovered, according to Johns Hopkins University in the US.
