Oman Sends 1st Consignment of Medical Aid to Iran
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Oman has sent its first cargo of medical equipment and supplies to Iran as the country continues to battle against the COVID-19 crisis, a report said.
The consignment, weighing some 40 tons, is comprised of medical equipment and medicine, Tehran Times reported on Friday.
On Friday, Iran’s Health Ministry spokesman said some 84,000 coronavirus patients in the country had fully recovered from the viral disease.
Kianoosh Jahanpoor also said that the number of people tested positive for the coronavirus across the country had risen to 104,691 following the detection of 1,556 new cases since a day before.
More than four million people have been infected with COVID-19 globally, and the death toll has exceeded 276,000.
