Nearly 113,000 Coronavirus Patients Recover in Iran


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian Health Ministry spokesman Kianoosh Jahanpoor said on Thursday that the total number of coronavirus cases in the country has reached 143,849, while nearly 113,000 of those infected have recovered from COVID-19.

“With 63 new deaths in the past 24 hours, the death toll from the virus has reached 7,627. Unfortunately, we had 2,258 new cases since yesterday,” Jahanpoor said.

He added that 143,849 people have tested positive for the coronavirus in the country so far.

Jahanpoor also put the number of those who have so far recovered from the viral infection at 112,988.

The coronavirus outbreak that originated in Wuhan, China, has infected over 5.8 million people around the world. The global death toll from the pandemic is now more than 357,000.
