Six Foolad Players Tested Positive for Coronavirus


TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Six players of Iranian football club Foolad have tested positive for the coronavirus, the club announced on Friday.

Six players of the club have tested positive for COVID-19 and now the Iranian club says that they cannot play in the league due to lack of players.

The players must spend two weeks in quarantine.

Foolad has been scheduled to meet Nassaji on Sunday but the team head coach Javad Nekounam says that they will not play according to the agreement between league organization and the clubs.

If five players of a team are tested positive, the team’s matches will be canceled, acting head of Iran Football League Organization Soheil Mahdi had already said.
