Over 215,000 Coronavirus Patients Recover in Iran
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The number of coronavirus positive cases who have recovered from the viral disease in Iran has surpassed 215,000, the Health Ministry’s spokeswoman said.
Speaking at a daily press conference on Friday, Sima Sadat Lari put the death toll from the coronavirus in Iran at 12,447, saying the disease has taken the lives of 142 patients over the past 24 hours.
She also noted that at least 215,015 patients have recovered from the coronavirus infection so far or have been discharged from hospitals across the country.
The number of people tested positive for COVID-19 infection in Iran has risen to 252,720 following the detection of 2,262 new cases since Thursday noon, the spokeswoman added.
Among those undergoing treatment in medical centers at present, 3,319 patients have critical health conditions, Lari noted.
She went on to say that more than 1,922,500 coronavirus diagnostic tests have been carried out in Iran so far.
The number of people infected with COVID-19 across the world has surpassed 12,394,000 and the death toll has exceeded 557,000.
