Severely Wounded Yemen, Children Treated in Hospital after Saudi Raid on Homes (Graphic Video)

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - A heartbreaking video from Yemeni Al Hawyah Channel shows children undergoing treatment after a Saudi airstrike hit a residential neighborhood in northern province of al-Jawf.

The attack on Wednesday left at least 25 people dead and dozens wounded so far, with the local officials saying that the most of the victims were women and children.

A doctor at the al-Jawf General Hospital told the media that the facility received up to four kids after the airstrike. They suffered torn wounds to their limbs and bodies, with one small child having his face mutilated by shrapnel.

“We’re sad and in pain, as the Yemeni people are being hit while peacefully sitting in their homes, and today it was children and women who suffered,” the doctor said.

Since March 2015, Saudi Arabia and its allies have been conducting a bloody military aggression in Yemen with help from its regional allies, and using arms supplied by its Western backers. The aim of the war has been to bring Yemen's former president Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi back to power and defeat the Houthi Ansarullah movement.

Since then, Yemen has become one of the world’s worst humanitarian catastrophes, due to daily Saudi-backed airstrikes and a blockade on the country, with over 100,000 people killed, an estimated four million people displaced, and most of its 29 million residents now dependent on aid for survival.
