Violence Continues to Escalate between Feds, Portland Protesters (+Video)
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Violent clashes continued to escalate between federal officers and protesters in Portland, US state of Oregon, with projectiles being exchanged and tear gas being deployed on the night from Friday to Saturday.
Fireworks could be seen being shot by protesters with federal officers deploying tear gas in return. Federal agents were also reported to have shot impact munitions.
US President Donald Trump sent federal officers to Portland to tackle the violence.
The White House has defended the use of force against protesters and accused local authorities of having "lost control" of the city.
