Persepolis Has A Lot to Say: Yahya Golmohammadi
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Persepolis football team head coach Yahya Golmohammadi says that they always have a lot to say in the AFC Champions League.
Persepolis is scheduled to face Al-Nassr of Saudi Arabia at the 2020 AFC Champions league (West) semifinal at the Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium in Doha on Saturday.
“Al Nassr played very well and earned its place at this stage and we overcame many hurdles to come this far,” said the Persepolis head coach.
“Our record proves we always have a lot to say in this competition. It shows good planning at the club and togetherness between the players as well as mental strength. This year the difference is that we do not have the advantage of playing in front of our fans in Azadi,” he added.
"It is not easy for us, but they still give us their positive energy through social media and that gives us a lot of motivation and we are hopeful to go back to Iran with a good result. Our ambition is to be champion of Asia,” the former Iran coach stated.
“Persepolis fans and the people of Iran have gone through difficult times recently, and we hope winning here can give them something to celebrate and be happy about,” Golmohammadi concluded.
