Iraqi Army Dismantles 25 Explosive Devices in Anbar

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iraqi security forces discovered and defused 25 explosive devices in the country's western province of Anbar.

Iraq’s Joint Operations Command (JOC) spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Rasool announced on Friday that as many as 25 explosive devises were found and dismantled during a military operation carried out by the security forces in Daquq district, nearby Kirkuk, Shafaq News reported.

He added that the devices belonged to the Daesh terror group.

In 2017, Iraq declared victory over Daesh by reclaiming all of its territory – about a third of the country’s area – invaded by the terrorist group in 2014.
