Azadi Stadium Sanitized Ahead of IPL New Season
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Azadi Stadium in Tehran was disinfected by Iran’s Football League Organization on Wednesday.
The 20th edition of the Iran Professional League (IPL) will begin on Friday behind closed the doors due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Esteghlal will host newly-promoted Mes Rafsanjan in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium on Saturday.
The stadiums should be cleaned every week in Iran’s football league.
The total number of people tested positive for COVID-19 infection in Iran has risen to 646,164 following the detection of 8,452 new cases since Tuesday noon.
The death toll from the novel coronavirus in Iran has reached 36,579 after the disease took the lives of 419 patients over the past 24 hours.
