Persepolis Battles Back to Tie Nassaji in IPL


TEHRAN (Nassaji) – Persepolis football team battled back from a goal down to tie 1-1 with Nassaji in Iran Professional League (IPL) on Friday.

Mojtaba Bijan was on target for Nassaji with a header in the 41st minute but Siamak Nemati equalized the match in the 85th minute in Ghaemshahr’s Shahid Vatani Stadium.

The match was on the verge of postponement because of heavy rain but Iran Football League Organization permitted the team to play.

In Tabriz, Naft Masjed Soleyman beat Machine Sazi 1-0 thanks to Behrouz Norouzi Fard’s 64th minute goal.

Gol Gohar leads the table with 14 points and Persepolis is 10th with nine points while two games in hand.
