IRGC Chief Warns of Iran’s Decisive Response to Hostile Moves

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Major General Hossein Salami warned the enemies that any hostile action again Iran will draw a harsh and strong response.

In remarks during a visit to the IRGC bases on Iran’s southern island of Abu Musa in the Persian Gulf on Saturday, Major General Salami cautioned of the severe response to any threat to Iran’s security and national interests.

“We have proved in action and also announce it that we respond to any action from the enemy against us with a reciprocal, decisive and solid blow,” the general said.

The IRGC has proved several times that no hostile threat or act of aggression would remain unanswered, Major General Salami added.

The commander also highlighted the IRGC’s naval advances and equipment, including smart naval mines, smart bombs dropped by manned and unmanned aircraft, new generation of VTOL drones, and a broad range of missile launchers.

He further reiterated that the three Persian Gulf Islands of the Greater Tunb, Lesser Tunb and Abu Musa are indispensable parts of the Iranian soil and national sovereignty, describing them as the frontline of defense against extra-regional enemies.

Iranian military and political officials have repeatedly warned the enemies about the dire consequences of a military action against the Islamic Republic.

In May 2020, Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Hossein Baqeri warned the “adventurist and terrorist” US army that any threat against Iran’s interests or security will draw a decisive response.
