Iran Reports 34,913 New Coronavirus Cases in Past Day


TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iranian Health Ministry reported 34,913 new cases of COVID-19 infection over the last 24 hours.

The number of Iranian people who have died from the coronavirus pandemic has risen to 93,086 people, with 458 more Iranians succumbing to the disease in the last 24 hours, according to the Ministry.

Over the last 24 hours, 34,913 new cases of COVID-19 infection were discovered, with 4,381 of them being hospitalized, according to the report, adding that 3,492,468 individuals have recovered or been discharged from hospitals out of a total of 4,092,671 afflicted people.

Some 6,279 patients with COVID-19 infection were reported to be in severe condition and are being treated in intensive care facilities, according to the report.

According to the Health Ministry, 11,765,528 Iranians have gotten the first dose of the coronavirus vaccination and 2,970,669 have received the second dosage of the COVID-19 vaccine.
