Iran’s Raisi, Kuwait FM Urge Expansion of Bilateral Ties


TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iran’s new President Ebrahim Raeisi says the Islamic Republic is determined to the expansion of relations with Kuwait and sees no obstacle for promoting ties.

Speaking in a meeting with Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Ahmed Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Raisi stressed that Tehran sees no boundaries to the promotion of such ties with Kuwait, particularly in trade and economic fields.

Raisi also said enemies and ill-wishers are not happy with brotherly relations between Iran and Kuwait, and called for the development of bilateral ties more than ever.

He noted that regional issues should be resolved via negotiations, and that foreigners should not be allowed to intervene in regional relations.

Meanwhile, Ahmed Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah expressed readiness for drawing an operational plan for developing all-out ties with Iran, IRNA reported.

He also referred to experiences achieved during COVID-19 pandemic, and called for new round of cooperation between regional states in this regard.
