Paralympics 2020: Javelin Thrower Amiri Adds 10th Gold to Iran Medal Tally
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Hamed Amiri from Iran won the country’s 10th gold medal in the 2020 Paralympic Games on Friday.
He seized the gold in the Men's Javelin - F53 with a throw of 31.35 meters.
Russian Paralympic Committee (RPC)’s Aleksei Kuzentsov won the silver with a throw of 31.19 and USA’s Justin Phongsavan took the bronze with 31.09 meters.
Rouhollah Rostami (powerlifting), Vahid Nouri and Mohammad Reza Kheirollahzadeh (judo), Amir Khosravani (long jump), Mahdi Olad (shot putter), Sareh Javanmardi (air pistol SH1), Hashemiyeh Motaghian Moavi (seated javelin), Saeid Afrooz (javelin) and Zahra Nemati (archer) have already won nine gold medals for Iran.
