World Wrestling C’ships: Iran’s Nokhodi Wins Silver


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Mohammad Nokhodi from Iran won a silver medal at the 2021 World Wrestling Championships on Monday.

He was defeated against Jordan Burroughs from USA 5-1 in the final match of the 79kg.

Hassan Yazdani in the 86kg and Amir Hossein Zare in the 125kg on Sunday won two gold medals for Iran.

Alireza Sarlak in the 57kg and Amir Mohammad Yazdani in the 65kg had also claimed two silver medals.

A total of 800 wrestlers from 100 countries are competing at the Wrestling World Championships, being held from October 2 to 10 in Oslo, Norway.
