Iran’s Envoy Meets with Lebanese PM Ahead of Ministerial Visit to Beirut

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s ambassador to Lebanon held a meeting with the Arab country’s Prime Minister Najib Mikati one day before Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian’s planned visit to Beirut.

The Lebanese media reported that Iranian ambassador Mohammad Jalal Firooznia and Prime Minister Mikati have discussed the general situation of relations between the two Muslim nations.

The meeting took place ahead of a visit to Beirut by Amirabdollahian, who is scheduled to meet with the Lebanese president and prime minister on Wednesday.

Iran has helped Lebanon overcome a shortage of fuel in recent weeks by shipping several consignments of fuel to the Arab country.
