Iran Assures Lebanon of Unflagging Support

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian reaffirmed Tehran’s continued support for the Lebanese resistance and the Arab country’s security and sovereignty.

In an interview with Lebanon’s Al-Manar television network during his stay in Beirut, Amirabdollahian voiced Iran’s readiness to provide Lebanon with all kinds of aid despite the hard economic conditions that Iran is experiencing.

He also noted that the Lebanese government itself must officially ask Tehran to ask for the aid, emphasizing that Iran respects Lebanon’s sovereignty.

Amirabdollahian said Iran supports Lebanon’s resistance to preserve the Lebanese security and sovereignty, underscoring that this support will continue.

The Iranian top diplomat pointed to his recent meeting with Hezbollah Secretary General Seyed Hassan Nasrallah, adding that Iran refers to the Nasrallah’s viewpoints while dealing with regional issues, Al-Manar reported.

He said Nasrallah is the greatest political leader in Lebanon and the region.
